Terms of service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and QuoteDash LLC (“we”, “us”) about your use of QuoteDash (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service is for businesses, such as painters, plumbers, electricians and other trade contractors (“you”). The people you send quotes and invoices to are “your customers”. Your customers don't sign these terms; the text messages we send them for you are covered on the text messages page.
1. What the service does
The service helps you write quotes, send them to your customers, record their acceptance, issue invoices and change orders, take payments, and send reminders. Some parts use other companies' services: Stripe for card and bank payments, Twilio for text messages, Resend for email, and Anthropic for AI-drafted quotes.
We provide software. Quotes, invoices and change orders are agreements between you and your customers, not with us, and we are not a party to them.
2. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password secret, and turn on two-factor sign-in (Settings) if you can. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and you must tell us promptly at dcuthbert123@gmail.com if you think someone else has got into it.
3. Your content and your customers' information
You keep ownership of what you put into the service: your prices, quotes, photos, notes and your customers' details. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the providers named above.
You promise that you have the right to put your customers' information into the service and to contact them the way you use it, and that what you send them is accurate and lawful. You are responsible for your prices, your sales tax rate, your deposit and payment terms, your licences, and for doing the work you quote. Nothing in the service is legal, tax or accounting advice.
4. Texts and email
When you send a quote, invoice, change order or reminder by text, you are asking us to send it for you from our number. You must only text people who have agreed to hear from you about their job (for example, by giving you their mobile number when asking for a quote), and you must stop when someone replies STOP. You must not use the service to send marketing, bulk or unrelated messages. We may limit or suspend sending if messages are reported as unwanted or break the rules of mobile carriers.
5. Payments
Card and bank payments are handled by Stripe. To accept them you connect your own Stripe account and accept Stripe's terms. Money goes from your customer to your Stripe account; we do not hold your funds. Stripe's fees, payout timing, refunds and disputes are between you, your customer and Stripe. We are not responsible for a payment that fails, is reversed or is disputed.
6. AI-drafted quotes
The AI features turn your notes, photos and price list into a draft. A draft can be wrong or incomplete. You must read and correct it before you send it. You are responsible for every quote you send, whether or not AI helped write it.
7. What you must not do
Don't use the service to break the law, deceive or harass anyone, send spam, upload malware, collect other people's information without permission, probe or disrupt the service, get around its limits, or let others use your account. We may suspend or end access if you do.
8. Fees
If we start charging for the service, or change what we charge, we will tell you before it applies and you can stop using the service instead. Fees charged by Stripe, Twilio and other providers are separate from ours.
9. Availability, backups and changes
We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of records you need: the service can export your jobs, customers and payments (Reports). We may change or remove features, and we will give notice of changes that matter to you.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time. To close your account and have your data deleted, email dcuthbert123@gmail.com. We may end or suspend your account if you break these terms or if we have to by law. After an account is closed we delete its data in line with our privacy policy, except what we must keep for legal reasons.
11. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, including for fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of calculations, or uninterrupted use.
12. Limit on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost jobs, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for anything connected with the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
13. If a claim is made against us
You will cover our reasonable costs if a third party (such as one of your customers) brings a claim against us because of what you put into the service, how you used it, or your work for them, unless we caused it.
14. Changes to these terms; governing law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the service before it applies. Using the service after that means you accept the change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and courts there will handle any dispute, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
