How to turn on two-factor sign-in

Your account holds your customers' details and your quotes. Two-factor sign-in adds a code from your phone to your password, so a stolen password isn't enough.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and find Two-factor sign-in, then tap Turn on.
  2. On your phone, tap Add to authenticator app. Or open an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy, add an account, and type the key shown.
  3. Type the 6-digit code the app shows. That proves it works and turns it on.
  4. Save the 8 recovery codes shown, somewhere safe such as a password manager. They are shown once.
  5. From now on, signing in takes two steps: your email and password, then the current 6-digit code.

Good to know

  • If you lose your phone, enter one of your recovery codes instead of the 6-digit code. Each recovery code works once.
  • Turning it on signs you out of your other browsers.
  • After 5 wrong codes in a row, code attempts for the account are locked for 15 minutes.
  • If you have lost both your phone and your recovery codes, contact support from the address on your account.
