How to import your rates from an old quote

If you already have quotes or invoices you have sent before, QuoteDash can read the prices from them and put them on your price list, so you don't type every rate again. You check everything before anything is saved.

Steps

  1. Open Prices and tap Import rates from an old quote.
  2. Choose a PDF, or photos of a paper quote, one photo per page.
  3. Tap Read prices. It usually takes under a minute.
  4. Check what was found. Each price shows the line it came from, and any it was not sure about says Check this.
  5. Tick the items to add, and correct any name, price, unit or category.
  6. For an item already on your list, choose whether to keep your price, update it to the new one, or add it as a separate item.
  7. Tap the button at the bottom to save your choices.

Good to know

  • Nothing is saved until you tap that button, and Cancel throws the results away.
  • A PDF can be up to 3 MB, or you can use up to 4 photos.
  • Updating a price is only offered when the unit is the same, such as per square foot against per square foot.
  • Reading an old quote counts toward your monthly AI limit, together with AI drafts.

Questions

Does it change my old quotes?
No. Importing only adds or updates items on your price list. Quotes you have already made keep their prices.
What if it reads a price wrong?
Fix it before you save. Every name, price and unit can be edited, and only the items you tick are added.
