How to set up your price list

Your price list is the heart of QuoteDash. Every quote, and every AI draft, is built from it, so set your rates once and use them everywhere.

Steps

  1. Open Prices. On a phone, it is under Menu.
  2. If your list is empty, you can start from typical rates for your kind of work and change every one of them.
  3. To add an item, give it a name, a unit (such as square feet, hours, doors or a job) and your price per unit.
  4. To change a rate, tap the pencil beside it. To remove an item, tap the trash icon.
  5. Open the Cost list tab to see the same items and enter what each one costs you. QuoteDash uses these to show your profit as you build a quote.

Good to know

  • Quotes and invoices you have already made keep the prices they were written with when you change a rate.
  • Your customers never see the cost list.
  • Got an old quote or invoice? On the Prices page you can upload a PDF or up to 4 photos of it, check the rates the AI finds, and add only the ones you want. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

Questions

Can I change my starter rates?
Yes. The starter rates are examples to get going, not a price guide. Change every one to your own prices.
What if I charge a flat price for a job?
Add an item with the unit set to job, and put your flat price in as the rate. You can also type a custom line on any quote.
