How to build and send a quote

A quote in QuoteDash is built from your price list and sent as a private link your customer can accept from their phone, with no app and no account.

Steps

  1. Tap New quote.
  2. Enter the customer's name and mobile number, a title for the job and the address.
  3. Add lines from your price list using the add button, or add a custom line. Set the quantity on each, and the totals and tax update as you go.
  4. Add the assumptions you want the customer to see, such as what is and is not included.
  5. Add a deposit if you want one, and a planned start date if you have one.
  6. Save the quote. On its page, tap Text quote to customer. Their number is filled in from the quote, and you can change it.
  7. Your customer opens the link, reads the quote and accepts it by typing their name. The quote page shows when it was sent, viewed and accepted.

Good to know

  • Texting the quote marks it as sent. If you sent the link another way, tap Mark as sent.
  • Only text people who asked you for a quote. Every text ends with Reply STOP to opt out, and QuoteDash will not text anyone who has replied STOP.
  • Your own previews of a customer's link don't count as the customer viewing it.

Questions

Does my customer need an account?
No. They open the private link from your text, read the quote and accept by typing their name.
Can I send the quote another way?
Yes. The link works wherever you send it. Use Mark as sent so QuoteDash knows it is out.
