How to let customers pick their start date
After a customer accepts a quote, they can choose their own start date from the days you have open, so you don't trade texts about dates. You decide which days, how much notice you need and how far ahead they can book.
Steps
- Open Settings and find Online scheduling.
- Tick Let customers pick their start date.
- Choose the days work can start. Tap a weekday to switch it on or off.
- Set Notice needed (days), how far ahead dates are offered, and how many jobs can start on one day.
- Add any days off, such as holidays, with the date and an optional note. These days are never offered.
- Tap Save scheduling. From then on, a customer who accepts a quote is asked to pick a start date.
- When they pick one, it becomes the job's planned start date and shows on your calendar.
Good to know
- A day fills up once that many accepted jobs are already set to start on it, so a customer can't book a day you are full.
- You are told when a customer picks a date, if that notification is switched on in Settings.
- You can always set or change the start date yourself on the quote page, whatever the customer chose.
- Days off are for time you won't start work. Add them ahead of time and customers never see those days.
Questions
- Does my customer need an account to pick a date?
- No. They choose it from their private quote link, with no account and no app.
- Can I stop customers choosing a date?
- Yes. Untick Let customers pick their start date and save. Dates already chosen stay as they are.
