How to send reminders for quotes and payments

Most late quotes and payments just need a polite nudge. QuoteDash shows you what is waiting and can send the reminders for you.

Steps

  1. Open the Jobs page and look at Needs attention. It lists quotes waiting for an answer, deposits and progress payments that are due, change orders not yet approved, and overdue invoices.
  2. Tap Text reminder beside any item to send a reminder. The text is written for you, and it shows in the job's history.
  3. To have QuoteDash do it automatically, open Settings and turn on Automatic reminders. It is off until you turn it on.

Good to know

  • Automatic reminders follow a fixed pattern. A quote gets one follow-up 2 days after it was sent. A deposit gets a heads-up the day before it is due, a reminder the day after, and a weekly one after that. An overdue invoice gets a reminder the day after its due date, then weekly, up to 3 in all.
  • QuoteDash never texts someone who has replied STOP, and never sends the same reminder twice in a window.
  • Reminders count toward your monthly limit of texts to customers.
  • Only text people who asked you for the work.

Questions

Will automatic reminders text everyone?
They only go to customers with something outstanding, and never to anyone who has opted out.
Can I stop a reminder I don't want?
Don't tap Text reminder for it. Automatic ones follow the pattern above, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.
