How to set up repeat work for yearly jobs
Some jobs come round again: a yearly repaint, a six-monthly service, a seasonal clean-up. Tell QuoteDash how often, and it reminds you when the next one is due and drafts the quote for you.
Steps
- Open the quote of a job the customer has accepted.
- Set the job's completed date once it is done. Repeats are counted from that date.
- Under Repeat this job, choose how often: every 3 months, 6 months, year, 2 years or 5 years.
- Tap Save repeat. The page shows when the next one is due.
- A month before the due date, the job appears on your dashboard under Repeat work.
- Tap Create repeat quote. QuoteDash makes a new draft copied from the old quote, ready for you to check, update and send.
Good to know
- The new draft has the same lines and notes as the old quote and (repeat) in its title, so check the prices before you send it.
- It repeats on the same schedule, so the cycle carries on. Once you create it, the old job stops showing as due.
- A job can repeat once the customer has accepted it. Jobs marked lost never repeat.
- A repeat that is late stays on your dashboard until you deal with it.
Questions
- Does QuoteDash text the customer by itself?
- No. It only reminds you and drafts the quote. You check it and send it yourself.
- Can I stop a job repeating?
- Yes. Set Repeat this job to Doesn't repeat and save.
