How to fill it in

  • Do the walkthrough with the customer before you leave, and fill in the form together.
  • Write the punch list in plain words, and put a date next to each item once it is done.
  • Show the total, what has been paid and the balance, so the amount still owed is clear.
  • Both of you keep a copy, and keep yours with the signed quote and any change orders.

Or do this in QuoteDash

QuoteDash turns the accepted quote into an invoice in one tap, credits the deposit and any change orders, and lets your customer pay from the same kind of link, so the balance is clear the day the job ends.

Questions

Is this template really free?
Yes. Download the PDF, print it, or fill it in on screen. You don't need an account.
Is a signed sign-off a legal document?
It is a record that the customer accepted the work. It is not legal advice, and what it counts for depends on where you work, so check the local rules if a dispute is likely.
Can I use it for any trade?
Yes. It has no trade-specific wording, so it works for painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing and the rest.
